Summer Solstice

What a lovely morning on our mountain. A break in relentless heat, the Mother is gifting us with gentler rays and uplifting cool breezes. Under a blue sky, full of fluffy white clouds, day lilies are blooming by the garden. At camp, hostas are bursting forth with purple flowers to feed the bees and butterflies. Baby birds have grown and are trying out their wings, under watchful eyes. Last night, the moon was so brilliant, just a hint of the fullness to come Monday, when Solstice arrives. If all summer felt like today, I would be a less grumpy bear! Out west, record high temperatures are testing the power grid. Australia is baking. And in response, Russia just launched the largest nuclear ice breaker every built to capitalize on shipping routes opened by global warming, further degrading Earth’s cooling layer. I’d rather they launch a nuclear ice maker!
Meanwhile here on Fox Mtn, the woods are full of life, calling out to my spirit to go run, play, roll in the grass! Oh wait, that’s Sunny, my golden girl, barking at me to get off the computer and come on! Hope to see you all soon!
