Fill this space

Another season gone, I haven’t blogged a bit.

This is what occurs to me.

The month of April is like a deep pull out to sea.

May starts to churn over nervousness, excitement.

June crests, sweat comes early, stays late.

July recedes, tugging still, more rushes behind.

August bursts with foamy fun and froth.

Maybe this ocean metaphor is growing thin, let’s go for it, shall we, kru?

Sing along now.

September sweeps up and sinks us into the soil which starts to show the wear and tear of so many dancing feet. We take a deep breath; the best is yet to be.

Always dark and freaky, we ready for October, the last crescendo of music from the big speakers, the last pulse of group love. (too much?)

We dive under the last wave, and let it carry us to shore, tired, soggy,

weak, but better for the struggle. Flip over, soak up the waning sunrays, and rest.

When we open our eyes, the blue behind the spots in our vision makes us squint, sigh, turn again.

Bury our heads back in the warm sand. Await another season.

Anyway. That aside, thank you. Thank you for the help, the hugs, the acceptance, the adventure, the quiet, sweet feeling of a space created for love filling up and flowing over.

Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, we will do all again.
